Loch Ness Tour

Loch Ness tours from Glasgow and Edinburgh allow you to explore the loch side locations as well as some stunning Highland scenery on the way. With so much to see and do in the area it is hard to know where to start! Explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle, visit the highly acclaimed Loch Ness Exhibition at Drumnadrochit - a good option for a rainy day, watch the boats pass through the locks of the Caledonian Canal as it descends through a series of locks into the loch, take a forest walk on a section of the Great Glen Way, go on a Nessie hunting boat trip or for the more adventurous, try a rib boat ride.

The quieter East, and more scenic, shore of Loch Ness has a few hidden gems such as the Falls of Foyers (eulogised by the poetry of national bard Robert Burns), Boleskine House, once the home of Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and the infamous mountaineer, writer and occultist Aleister Crowley as well as the picturesque village of Dores, with its shingle beach, excellent village pub and beer garden, and not forgetting the professional Nessie hunter who lives on the shore!

The capital of the Highlands, Inverness, lies a few miles north of the loch and can also be visited as part of a Loch Ness tour.
